The Opportunity

Virtuo’s business model relies on our ability to match demand with a defined fleet, across locations and car models. Our vision is that these decisions should be enabled by AI. We are creating a new role and function of Demand Management in order to build that capability and make it a competitive advantage. 

As Virtuo’s Demand Manager, you will analyze our demand day to day, understand possible trade-offs, and optimize revenue, margin, and customer acquisition by rolling out pricing and demand generation / promotional strategies. You will also understand how to best direct demand in peak season. You will make short-term/operational decisions as well as longer-term / more strategic recommendations. 

You will work closely with the Chief Marketing & Growth Officer as well as our Data Science team and Operations across markets.

Your missions 

  • Analyze demand and competition on a weekly basis.
  • Evaluate our model’s performance on a daily / weekly basis (in particular pricing model outcomes), recommend and implement short and longer-term adaptations.
  • In low demand season, leverage pricing, CRM/promotions and paid to optimize fleet utilization, with support of our digital marketing teams.
  • In high demand season, recommend and implement strategies to optimize demand selection to maximize revenue/margin and / or acquisition (duration length, customer segments etc).
  • Coordinate with Operations and Local Marketers on fleet capacity on a monthly and weekly basis.
  • Continue rolling out and developing AI powered decision making together with our Data Science team.
  • Recommend longer-term pricing evolutions.

You are the ideal candidate if :

You are fluent in English (French is a plus)

Business & Analytics mindset: 

  • You have 2-3 years experience in a consulting company.
  • You are very analytical, you like solving complex quantitative problems.
  • You are business-oriented: beyond the numbers, you understand the business implications and want to make a tangible impact. 
  • You are proficient at Excel

You have a startup spirit & attitude: 

  • Self-starter, autonomous, organized, both a planner and showing agility.
  • Hands-on, eager to make things happen, with a bias for action.
  • A strong team player, within the marketing team but also with Data Science and Operations
  • A visionary mindset and a problem solver at heart
