We’re a fast-growing, tech-enabled, London-based start-up company, currently scaling rapidly. We were founded with the simple aim of making discovering great jobs and great candidates, easier. Today, Movemeon is used by some 50,000 strategic and commercial professionals and 4,000 businesses (from the likes of Sky, Amazon and GSK to early-stage, VC-backed startups) in 100+ countries.

About this role

We are looking for someone who can develop and execute a commercial strategy to grow what is one of the biggest and fastest growing parts of our business in the UK – recruiting into startups/scaleups. We work with hundreds of startups (Naked Wines, Bulb, Babylon Health and Go Cardless to name a few) and need someone driven and energetic to spearhead the development of this line of business.

This is a highly commercial role, in which you will manage and run your own P&L, have responsibility for meeting sales targets and devise strategies to accelerate growth across key accounts and new business.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  1. Shaping the strategy to drive growth across the Startup/Scale up Pod
  • Develop and execute strategy to grow the Startup/Scaleup business 
  • Work in partnership with Marketing to generate growth
  • Take responsibility for the development of Growth Associates (as we grow) who will work with you to grow your accounts
  1. Account management
  • Take responsibility for delivering on our sales target for your accounts: tracking progress against the target, and adjusting sales activity where necessary to ensure that we’re on, or ahead of, target wherever possible.
  • Devise strategies for driving sales growth in target accounts
  • Have the credibility with people in the account to be able engage them directly in conversations around opportunities – i.e. attending meetings with people at all levels on your own
  • Take responsibility for delivering on our sales target for your accounts: tracking progress against the target, and adjusting sales activity where necessary to ensure that we’re on, or ahead of, target wherever possible.
  • Gather feedback from customers about the things we sell them and communicate internally so that we can refine our products and services
  1. Managing the effective conversion of incoming enquiries
  • Ensuing inbound enquiries are qualified and converted into the site efficiently and effectively.
  1. New business development
  • Decide which organisations are our key targets for new business development and set metrics for the rest of the team 
  • Generating, qualifying and executing on leads for new business in line with strategy
  • Raise the company’s profile through networking and be an ambassador for Movemeon

You need to have a strong business awareness and have an ability to identify opportunities. You have a friendly but professional manner, and thrive off the thrill of the chase and the closing of the deal. Internally, you need to be a flexible team-player, always mindful of the interdependencies between parts of our business and the need to cooperate with colleagues to achieve our shared goals.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of experience (or equivalent) in a fast-paced B2B environment, preferably in recruitment
  • Strategic thinking – you will need to set the vision for the Startup/Scaleup pod, determine what needs to happen, and run with it
  • A strong commercial mindset – you’re great at spotting opportunities and understanding what clients wants
  • A natural organiser who is able to prioritise well
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) – we work with a big range of clients so you will need to be able to adjust your communication style accordingly
  • A creative thinker who is looking for new days to improve day-to-day processes, as well as being proactive about sharing and implementing your ideas
