Flipdish is a high growth, $157m backed Series C Scale-up operating in the restaurant and hospitality sector.

Background

Flipdish is a SaaS scale-up that provides all-in-one restaurant management software for food businesses across the globe. 

As Flipdish continued to scale their leadership team found a need for a commercially savvy, strategically minded and influential individual with a strong ability to get things done. This role would support the executive team by leading a number of key commercial initiatives and help to drive alignment across their US, UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, DACH and Benelux teams.

Our approach

We worked closely with the senior leadership at Flipdish to craft a job spec that would specifically appeal to the candidates within our network that had both the commercial and strategic acumen they were looking for, that would also engage candidates with a keen interest in joining a fast-paced scaling business. 

A dedicated Account Manager then marketed that job description to our candidate community – we actioned widespread alerts and promoted the role to our core candidate community that had an interest in Chief of Staff roles, and then additionally dedicated time to directly engaging with candidates from a range of consulting backgrounds that had additional experience in commercial and operational roles within start-ups and scale-ups, inviting them to apply for the role. 

Within 7 days we were then able to produce a shortlist from the initial applications and make candidate introductions for first-round interviews. As Flipdish proceeded with interviews, we continued to market the role to our community and engage with our candidate pool in order to build a consistent pipeline of high-quality and relevant applications, the best of which we then shared with Flipdish, making further candidate introductions where necessary.

  • Ex-Bain Manager with a history of recognition as a top performer and regular promotions over a four-year period
  • COO experience across a two-year period driving growth for a start-up in the retail and e-commerce sector
  • Stanford Graduate School MBA
  • Multi-lingual with fluency in three languages
  • High technical proficiency across multiple data & analytics software and programming languages

Result
