What you will do
- Launch new product(s) and/or ventures, with ownership of entire lifecycle and business plan, from product design and market testing to go-to-market plan, launch, marketing and operational delivery
- Lead and motivate small cross-functional team to produce exceptional performance and can-do attitude
- Own P&L of products and ventures launched
- Move & iterate fast; scale as needed and be prepared to take calculated risks and fail fast
- Draw on advice from internal network; communicate upwards and collaborate well and consistently and analyse business risks and financial situation to support sound decision making
- Report on performance and KPIs; forecast business development
- Monitor milestones of launched initiatives, analyse and measure success and impact on customers and provide key take-aways for future improvements
- Consult on a regular basis with leadership to align expectations and deliverables
You have
- 3-7 years’ experience in fast-paced, high-intensity environments – e.g. early stage / high growth startups (Founder /Cofounder), top-flight management consultancy, investment banking
- Highly numerate and articulate; strong academic background from top-tier university
- Excellent business experience and understanding, specifically retail and/or ecommerce business and understanding of the typical KPIs
- Experience in leading small teams with differing areas of expertise to deliver results
- Entrepreneurial mindset with track record of entrepreneurial activities or business experience; fearless
- Ideally, experience of taking a product to market
- Ideally, demonstrated experience of / understanding of delivering a physical product and the operational challenges associated therewith
- Proven ability to take initiative, work independently and drive implementation paired with strong negotiation and influencing skills to convince and motivate external & internal partners
- Understanding of websites, UX, digital product development, databases and online marketing a plus
- Ability to trade off speed vs operational excellence
- Good decision making and communication
- Optimism, resilience, drive and decent sense of humour
