About the role

  • Lead on delivery of the Virtual Reality and/or GLA housing adaptation schemes with support from the CEO and consultants with deep experience of the sector
  • Put in place sound procedures and systems, effective contract management, reporting on financial and social metrics, and ensuring successful delivery against target outcomes
  • Work with senior management to refine roles and responsibilities, identify resource requirements and facilitate the handover to permanent member(s) of staff in due course

  • Someone with knowledge of both project and change management and knowledge of associated best practices
  • Experienced in leading complex projects/programmes with multiple stakeholders

Day rate: Up to £350 per day

Introduction

The Cornerstone Partnership is a social enterprise founded in 2014 by Clare Brasier and Helen Costa, who, driven by their personal experience as adopters and their desire to help children, realised that by combining their professional skills and personal experience there was scope for innovation and partnership to improve the life chances of children in the care system. Cornerstone Partnership (‘Cornerstone’) now works with 14 Local Authorities in London and the South East across both adoption support and foster care recruitment, retention and support

Cornerstone is currently working through an options review with a global strategic consultant which is likely to result in partnerships with leading players in the childrens’ and adjacent sectors.

Role and responsibilities

  • Leading on delivery of the Virtual Reality and/or GLA housing adaptation schemes with support from the CEO and consultants with deep experience of the sector
  • The role will include putting in place sound procedures and systems, effective contract management, reporting on financial and social metrics, and ensuring successful delivery against target outcomes
  • As this is a new role, the successful candidate will be expected to work with senior management to refine roles and responsibilities, identify resource requirements and facilitate the handover to permanent member(s) of staff in due course
  • Proactive reviewing of progress to plan and alert of slippage in plans or resource issues / other barriers
  • Support CEO on preparation of information in relation to strategic review of options;  engagement with strategic partners; and consultation with Cornerstone advisory board
  • Support business development and specific projects as necessary

Requirements
