About the role

  • Deliver the growth roadmap for the UK business
  • Develop and execute commercial plans that deliver against this roadmap
  • Deliver strategic projects & design and implement optimisation plans (e.g. A/B and multivariate tests), developing and implementing robust recommendations to support trading, marketing and operation teams.
  • Improve the businesses understanding of customer journeys through tracking key site metrics such as traffic sources, bounce rates and user sessions.
  • Growth: Through exceptional operational standards and a maniacal approach to customer service, consistently seek to maximize growth in their area
  • Customer: Coach Restaurant General Managers to create a customer focused environment which is appealing to Pizza Huts diverse customer base
  • Profit: Maximize the profitability of the area by understanding and controlling all costs (e.g. labour, food). Monitor daily, weekly and periodically to ensure alignment to AOP targets. Through exceptional operational standards and a maniacal approach to customer service, consistently seek to maximize growth in their area

Job requirements

  • Likely 2-4 years of professional experience eg. as a Consultant or Ecommerce background
  • Ideally some B2C, online and/or retail experience

About Delivery Hut

Delivery Hut is an exciting, rapidly growing part of our business. Annual online sales already exceed £400m, with ~50% relating to the Pizza Hut Delivery business. We have a total current estate of ~700 huts, of which ~ 400 are Delivery. The Delivery business plans to grow its hut count by 50 huts per year over the next 5 years. We are now the second largest pizza delivery company in the UK.  60% of our orders come online and this % is growing.

About the role

The Global Operations Leaders Program is designed to develop Pizza Hut’s future commercial and operational leaders. Targeting high potential ex-consultants, it the perfect stepping-stone from consulting into senior management roles with P&L responsibility.

The focus of the programme is on growing our brand globally and across the UK. The role will be integral in supporting the business to meet its development targets; you’ll be growing an iconic brand that’s been at heart of the UK for over 40 years.

This is a hands-on programme – it won’t be all Excel and PowerPoint. You will be responsible for delivering key strategic projects for a number of Delivery Huts. You’ll be looking after 7-8 stores with annual turnover of c £3MM and circa 200 staff.

Over a period of 2 years, you will further develop leadership skills and will become an expert in operations. On successful completion of the programme, you will be appointed to a senior Operations Leadership Role within the UK or Global business.

What we’re looking for

  • We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years experience in consulting. They should have strong commercial awareness, with natural gravitas and leadership qualities.
