About the role

Over 2018, Greencore sold its US business, creating both an imperative to drive growth in the UK and sufficient funds to invest. Having completed the deal in January, we are now developing a new growth strategy for the UK and are looking to fill two freelance roles to work with our Group team. The first phase will be for around 3 months to agree with our approach and get the individual projects moving but could extend beyond that.

The roles will each lead work against a set of specific opportunities, drawing on colleagues within the business where necessary. Some elements of the work are best described as ‘classic’ consulting but with a bias towards action, and our priority is to find recruits that can work successfully with a highly operational culture and move quickly to get things done.

  • Duration: 3 months + possible extension
  • Location: London with some UK travel as required
  • Experience level: Manager / Senior Consultant
  • Day rate: ~£600 – £1,000 per day, depending on experience

A former McKinsey Partner runs the UK business and is looking to expand the team. We have had a series of former top-tier consultants work with us successfully over the last 3 years, both on temporary assignment and in full-time roles. We are now looking to make 4 hires – 2 freelance and 2 permanent – to help drive our rapid growth agenda. About the opportunity

We are looking for candidates with either Senior Associate / Consultant or Manager experience. Industry experience (i.e, perishable goods, retail) is desirable but not required. We would adjust the specifics of the roles and compensation according to experience and envisage a day rate ~£900-1,000 per day for Managers and ~£600-750 per day for Senior Associates.

In addition, we are looking to fill two full-time roles to help drive our existing new business and operational priorities within the UK business. These roles would typically come with P&L responsibility and the scope to either drive a specific part of the existing business or create a new part of the business.
