What We Do

EXPLORE-AI is a technology business that builds AI solutions for large Utility players.

We’re a fast-growing tech scale-up comprising 100+ people based in South Africa, the UK and India, including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and other tech leaders. We believe that by leveraging the wealth of data large Utilities have, AI, cloud and technology can fundamentally improve the way we deliver scarce public utilities to customers around the world. In fact, one of the solutions we helped build there was recently shortlisted for the Top AI Application in the UK.

We’ve built over 10 production-grade AI Solutions that are being used by large Utility providers. These solutions have fundamentally changed the way our customers run their operations. To do this we con?gure small, cross-functional teams that run in agile Sprints to deliver value to the customer.

About the Role

As our Managing Director, you will lead our business here in the UK during our expansion into Europe. Responsibilities include:

• Work with our existing contacts to expand our water utilities proposition in the UK
• Own strategy and implementation for our expansion into other sectors
• Build out our client base in the UK amongst main utilities providers
• Provide leadership to our 5-person London team as we grow

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a highly talented, highly effective, highly awesome person. You will likely have:

• Likely at least 5 years of relevant experience, including previous work at a top-tier consultancy
• Experience and existing network with utilities sector
• Strong  commercial  instincts 
• A passion for digital strategy/transformation, technology and AI

Salary: Up to £150k base salary + bonuses + incentives

Location: This role is based in London, UK. Once travel is permitted, the founder will frequently travel to London and occasional travel to South Africa is expected
