About Fixter

Fixter is an innovative and fast-growing startup launched in 2017 to simplify the life of all car owners, by bringing a world-class digital experience to the car maintenance industry.

At Fixter, we believe car servicing is broken and we’re trying to fix it. In an industry plagued by mistrust and a lack of transparency, our customers can book an MOT, a car service or maintenance and we’ll take care of the hassle: prices will be quoted upfront, our driver will collect & deliver your car at your home or office, and our network of local independent garages will service your car.

We have launched in a few cities in the UK, we raised a 6m€ Series A from Kamet Ventures and AXA, and we’re now looking to scale our driver operations across the UK. Our Drivers, also known as our Fixter Heroes, collect cars from our customers home or office, drop it at the garage and returns it back after the necessary operations have been done on the car.

Role responsibilities

You will need to be able to set a high-level strategy for driver operations and scale it. You are responsible for defining the model, the hiring strategy, the onboarding and constant training of our Fixter Heroes in all cities we launch across the UK. You will be overseeing performance and activity of the drivers, ensuring efficient use of resources and high customer satisfaction. A core component of the role is to continuously improve and roll out new processes (that could include new technology improvements and other operational or commercial changes), which improve efficiency and performance of the business.

This role is crucial to the development of our company in its early growth stage. Working hand in hand with the co-founders of the company, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define target model of our drivers operations – including defining the right internal or external tools
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement –  ensure optimal use of our internal tools, identify new problems, oversee analysis of issues and improvements
  • Driving efficiency – oversee scheduling and performance management of our Fixter Heroes to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Communication – When things go wrong or can be improved, understanding why and how it happened and communicating that effectively to the wider business
  • Provide input to operations, product, engineering, marketing – working with all the other functions to ensure we keep a high customer satisfaction and coordinate upcoming changes to product, processes and strategy

The ideal candidate:

  • Is a talented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, who wants to dive into the startup world
  • Comes from a top business or engineering school
  • Is analytical and strategic – able ‘think big’ as well as execute ‘on-the-fly’ via understanding the dynamics of our business
  • Is an effective communicator – outstanding interpersonal and business communication skills. Able to quickly establish gravitas and dynamics of our business
  • Is focused on getting things done
  • Is able to learn fast and solve problems
  • Adaptable fixer – enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to remove barriers. Don’t slavishly follow processes if they aren’t right

You will work directly with our co-founders – this is an incredible opportunity for someone who is looking to make a huge impact within a startup that aims at simplifying the life of all car owners.

What we offer:

  • A high impact role at a well-backed but early stage start-up with excellent progression opportunities
  • Competitive compensation package
  • A high-calibre, energised team with the Kamet network on hand for mentorship and knowledge-sharing
  • London office
