Company

Camallergy is a spin-out from Cambridge University Hospitals developing treatments for food allergies. Following excellent results in phase 2 clinical trials, our lead product will be among the world’s first licensed treatments for peanut allergy.

Peanut allergy is the most common cause of fatal food allergy reactions and reduces the quality of life with constant fear of anaphylaxis. It is a growing problem, affecting 2% of children and 0.5% of adults in high-income countries. There is currently no licensed treatment.

Role

As a project leader, you will help guide our pioneering treatment through phase 3 clinical trials starting in 2017 and support our small team to grow in confidence and capability.

You will work closely with CEO Sherden Timmins, a former management consultant with Booz & Co and Accenture, and with co-founders Pamela Ewan and Andrew Clark who are respected leaders in the field of allergy. You will be supported by a well-developed network of suppliers and expert advisers.

Through your methodical approach and analytical problem-solving, you will have the opportunity broaden your responsibility to cover all aspects of late-stage drug development, including manufacture, quality control, clinical research, regulatory affairs and commercialisation. As a core member of our team, you will influence the shape and strategy of our small but growing organisation and will have the opportunity to progress to senior leadership as the company develops.

Through drug development and delivery, you will dramatically change patients’ lives at our flagship, Cambridge Peanut Allergy Clinic, in our clinical trials and beyond.

Requirements

  • Associate or Manager at a top tier consultancy
  • Science or technical background
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Pharmaceutical and project management experience are an advantage

Location

Cambridge has been named as the best UK city to work in. The office is located in the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, opposite Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in a shared working space with other start-up companies. The Campus has an excellent gym with swimming pool (membership required) and food shops within the hospital.

Additionally, you will have access to share options.
