We are in a secret pre-launch phase (so you won’t find information about us on the web) but – unusually already has 7-figure funding arranged with elite investors and entrepreneurs. Our senior management founding team have 50+ years experience in corporate strategy, financial services and entrepreneurship. One founder’s previous startup is a household name $billion business (he is a high profile fintech investor).
Our objective in 2016 is to build buzz in the small business community, launch, and prove customer economics in various different channels prior to scaling those channels in 2017.
The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to turbo-charge your career alongside highly experienced entrepreneurs in a well-funded startup. This is a mid-to-senior role: we want to hire someone with the smarts to become a senior leader in our business as we grow.
We need a smart general manager to run product and analytics. This entails:
- Screening, negotiating with, potential product partner companies across credit, insurance, payments, accountancy etc
- Liaising with product partners and our development team to ensure the product gets built
- Designing customer experience for new features (wireframing etc)
- Co-ordinating the product roadmap
- Creating an impeccable analytical reporting infrastructure, so we have a tight view of all our business KPIs
Experience
The right candidate will:
- Have several years experience, ideally with some exposure to financial services.
- Feel comfortable “talking tech” with some past experience of digital product development.
- You do not need to have worked in a product role before.
- Most of the job is not particularly numbers-analytical, but the right person will be highly comfortable delivering consultancy-style analytics when required.
Practicalities
We pay realistic startup salaries, plus options, and always seek to hire a diverse team. Cash range is £35k-£55k p.a. initially (the major financial upside is the options, which increase if you accept less cash). We prefer candidates who share our passion for fixing financial services and choose a package initially weighted to options instead of cash. You’ll work from our office in Farringdon in a tight-knit team where everyone collaborates to get the job done quickly.
