About the role

ASI is looking for a top-class Strategic Operations Manager based in London to help us grow our network of high quality, high-efficiency day case surgery centres. This is a great opportunity to join an early stage organization with an exciting team, drive innovation and take responsibility for delivering successful operations.

Reporting directly to the COO (ex-Oliver Wyman) you will take responsibility for the full range of development and management activities associated with centres allocated to you. Working with centre management teams, activities will include:

  • Advise on day surgery operating best practices.
  • You will become an expert in the day surgery operating model, spending time learning the best practices developed by AmSurg over the past 20 years in areas such as centre management, quality assurance, process, data/analytics, etc.
  • Collaborate on centre opportunity development activities.
    You will complete strategic assessments and assess the viability of centre opportunities, including new-build (‘organic’) centres and acquisition opportunities.
  • Drive centre implementation.
  • You will work with the centre management team, the ASI team and external advisors to deliver the new centre effectively including construction, commissioning, initiation and ramp, system implementation, etc.
  • Maximise ongoing centre performance.
  • You will support management teams in maximizing the performance of your centres.
  • Contribute to ASI corporate development.
  • You will also be a key member of the ASI team helping to improve central capabilities and pursue growth around the world.
  • While we are currently a compact team, there will be an opportunity to build your own team as we grow.
