About the role

We’re looking for an exceptional individual to support the Head of Group Strategic Planning in driving key strategic projects which to support the overall Group change agenda. Today we have a long and growing list of strategic projects but are missing the overall structure, governance, discipline and skillset to complete these efficiently.

The primary objectives of the Strategic Projects Manager will be:

  • Improve accountability and governance in the management of strategic projects;
  • Enhance speed of execution on strategic projects;
  • Develop a methodology to prioritise execution of projects, balancing business needs with finite resources;
  • Own and drive projects in the early stages, working with an appropriate cross-functional team, and ultimately transition projects into the wider business;
  • Coordinate stakeholders across multiple countries, business lines and support functions;
  • Coach project teams with varied educational and cultural backgrounds;
  • Formalise and drive adoption of in-house project management methodology;
  • Prepare reports to identify project risk areas and report on overall progress for COO and other stakeholders.

 Requirements

  • ~5+ years’ experience in a top-tier consulting company, or a similar role
  • Confidence and experience in influencing and driving senior leadership
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, often remotely
  • Flexibility to cope with changing demands of the role and business
  • Initiative to drive ownership and manage own time and projects
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to the relevant audience and culture
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, combined with desire to drive results
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
