Key responsibilities
- Analytical support on key projects e.g., modelling, problem-solving
- Contribute to the Strategic Planning process (PPZ)
- Market research and developing insight e.g., economic/ political trends, developments in the mobility industry
- Competitive landscaping e.g., analyzing competitors and building profiles, conducting SWOT analysis and identifying opportunities and threats for Arriva
- Support implementation of strategy e.g., translating group strategy to business level strategies, drawing out implications for linked functions like M&A
Requirements
- 2+ yrs with a leading global management consulting firm and/or a European corporate strategy team
- Bachelor’s / Master’s from a top tier university
- Strong analytical skills – adept with quantitative modelling skills and have a strategic mindset
- Problem-solving skills with an effective and pragmatic approach to finding solutions with the ability to drive insights from complex pieces of information/data
- Business acumen – commercial mindedness and eagerness to learn about business
- Organizational agility – comfortable working within large organizations, with multiple stakeholders and matrix structures
- Comfortable with a hypothesis-driven approach and have the ability to deal with ambiguity – you can cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture and can manage risk and uncertainty
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Able to work with limited guidance
- Must be able to work in (and enjoy) multicultural environment
- Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus
