How to Use Movemeon: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Your Next Role

We’ve rebuilt Movemeon to make finding your next role simpler, faster, and more transparent. Whether you’re exploring new opportunities or actively applying, this guide walks you through every part of the platform so you can get the most out of it.

1. Start With Your Curated List

When you log in, you’ll land on your Curated List - a personalised selection of 20 roles that best match your skills, preferences, and career ambitions.

This list updates as your preferences evolve, so be sure your profile is accurate (more on that below). Think of it as your shortcut to the most relevant opportunities, hand-picked by our matching algorithm and refined by our team.

2. Explore More on the Discover Jobs Page

If you want to browse the full market, head to Discover Jobs. This is where you can explore every live role on Movemeon using powerful filters:

  • Role Type: Freelance or Permanent
  • Location: Country filters
  • Visa Sponsorship: Yes/No
  • Salary / Day Rate
  • Flexibility: Remote, Hybrid, or In-office
  • Keyword Search: Quickly find what matters - e.g. “private equity”, “remote”, or “strategy”

Save roles to review later or apply directly when you’re ready.

This page is designed for fast, efficient job discovery - especially if you’re targeting specific types of roles.

3. Understand Every Opportunity on the Job Page

Each role has its own Job Page with all the details you need to decide if it’s right for you. No guesswork, no vague descriptions. Expect full transparency, including:

  • Why apply
  • Must-have requirements
  • Detailed job description
  • Location & flexibility
  • Industry & function
  • Languages
  • Salary or day rate
  • Our full application process

We believe informed candidates make better decisions - so every job is explained clearly and honestly.

4. Apply With Our Simple, Transparent Process

Our application process is designed to be quick, structured, and high-quality for both candidates and clients.

Step 1: Your Details

Basic information we need to understand your background.

Step 2: Screening Questions

5. Track Your Progress on the Live Applications Page

Keep up-to-date with every role you’ve applied to.
Your Live Applications page shows each application’s status:

  • Applied
  • Being Reviewed
  • Shortlisted
  • Interview
  • Regretted

Everything is in one place so you never lose track of where you stand.

6. Return to Anything on Your Draft Applications Page

Started an application but didn’t finish?
Your Draft Applications page lets you pick up exactly where you left off.

7. Save Opportunities to Review Later

Your Saved Jobs page keeps all your favourites in one place - ideal for planning applications or revisiting roles you want to compare.

8. Optimise Your Profile for Better Matches

Your profile is the engine that powers your curated roles, job alerts, and invitations. It has four sections:

Your Details

Add your LinkedIn profile, languages, country, city, and postcode (optional).
Providing your postcode helps us assess location fit - it’s only used for matching.

Job Preferences

Keep this section updated to get the most accurate matches.

Here you’ll set:

  • Preferred industries & functions
  • Locations and visa sponsorship preferences
  • Permanent, Freelance, or both
  • Desired salary or day rate
  • Perfect Job Text - a short description of your ideal role

We use this to fine-tune your Curated List. The more accurate you are, the better your matches will be.

Your Experience

Add your career history, including job titles, companies, and dates.
This helps us understand your true fit for roles - and helps clients decide who to shortlist.

Communication Preferences

Turn on Job Alerts (strongly recommended!)
We’ll send you relevant roles the moment they’re posted.

You’ll never miss a perfect opportunity.

9. Manage Your Account

On the Account page, you can update:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Or remove your account

Simple, secure, and fully in your control.

10. Let Movemeon Come to You: Job Alerts & Invites

Job Alerts

If you’re a strong match for a new role, we’ll email it to you instantly.
These alerts are tailored to your profile and preferences.

Invites

Sometimes, our Success Team proactively reaches out to candidates who are a great fit for specific roles.
If you receive an invite, we strongly encourage applying - it means you’re already on the shortlist radar.

You're Ready to Get Started

Movemeon is built to make job discovery and applications more transparent, more personalised, and more human.

Whether you’re browsing casually or actively applying, keeping your profile updated and using the Curated List + Discover Jobs pages together is the best way to get great results.
